My old and (up until a recent launch over the bars), otherwise immaculate Giro Hammerhead is finally to be hung up for good, I can’t complain though as I’m pretty sure it saved my life. (See the finger sized puncture wound in the front that almost goes all the way through....I actually had a scratch on my forehead  )

Anyway... birthday present replacement was bought by the missus in the local bike shop & I must admit, it is more comfortable.... :|

Nice. I'm a fan of Giro helmets, though recently moved over to Endura which has been equally good.

Word to the wise though, even if your 5+ year helmet is in perfect nick, consider replacing it as the polystyrene degrades over time, in the sunlight, from sweat etc etc... They say you should do this every 3 years! I think in my 2 score life span I've had 6 or 7
