Here is one of your "only in Fairfax" moments. I was on my mountain bike and headed for the trails when I spied a large group of roadies meeting to ride. Prominent among them was Otis Guy, wearing one of our old Velo Club Tamalpais jerseys. I stopped to chat, and suddenly I was seeing old roadies I have known since the 'seventies, and another couple of old VCT jerseys. This is the weekly "dinosaur ride."

Weekly or yearly? All your boys were there, did ya miss the phone call!?

I wouldn't personally choose to pound asphalt in place of an mtb ride though...

So I know the post on this was 2 years ago, but my boss bought this bike at a swap about a year ago and he has left it on display up on the wall. Today it was slow at the shop, so he let me give the bike the works, including NOS oversized brake cables and housing. Found the SN and punched it into google and this thread came up. Thought I would update. Bike rides awesome, Hasn't seen dirt yet. Hub bearings are a bit rough, but it ride great and the brakes work really well. Very finely built bike

Beautiful bike, I'm glad to see its still in the Bay Area. I wish Kurt hadn't ruined the original patina, but it looks like you guys did a great job with the build! I still want to own it. :)
