For Sale Orbit touring/cross frameset (53x55)

53cm c2c seat tube, 55cm c2c top tube

For sale – a nice, somewhat ratty touring/cross Orbit frameset with headeset. For cantis I have a seatpost and headset hangers to go with it, or front end will take v brakes fine, but the older narrower spacing at the rear juuuuust won’t allow it (can be bodged by removing all the spacers and using narrow pads, but best would be to run it with cantis).

Have loved riding this bike when it was set up, fun and nippy unloaded but still loads up great, plenty of eyelets for racks and mudguards. Two sets of bottle cage mounts (seat tube and under the downtube), and mid-blade fork mounts. Shrek-green paint and decals are quite beaten up. Headset is new enough and still feels in good nick, bottom bracket is coming with me for another bike but have temporarily misplaced my tool.

Asking £120 collected from Lewisham/Peckham area of London, or can deliver somewhere nearby if that’d be helpful, or can arrange postage if buyer can cover the cost. Cheers

Hey. I might be interested in this. Could you let me know the front and rear dropout spacing as well as the canti stud spacing please?

Also what’s the tyre clearance like?

Thanks,
Matt

Hey Matt, cheers for the reply. Away from home all this week so I can't measure the spacing for you immediately, but I will as soon as I'm back at the weekend. Tyre clearance, hard to say exactly, can tell you I had 38 on there (pictured) easily if that helps? Let me know if any other qs in the meantime. Merle

Hey Merle

Thanks for the reply and the photo. It’s nice to see it built up and the tyre clearance sounds good, definitely interested.

Nice one, cheers. I will drop you a PM!
