Hello folks, new here, just wondered if anyone here has or has had one of these? I was very kindly given this by a client back in 2012/3. He’d had it custom built at a hefty price for the time but had never really used it a great deal and it was sat unloved in a garage belonging to a friend of his where we were collecting some items to take to auction.
I recognised some of the components from my younger days on mountain bikes and could see it would have been a nice thing when it was new so offered to buy it but he insisted I could have it for nothing. Happy days!
Following a good clean up and check over it was up and running even on its original tubes. I used it on the trails down in the Forest of Dean to complete my first every 100 mile ride! I’m a roadie more these days but I do use it occasionally for the odd ’randonée VTT’ here in France where I’m living now. The fork needs rebuilding with new oil seals etc. but other than that it rides nicely and is pretty light.
