If that is logs for a woodburner then you should split them in quarters and it will dry out better/faster. This will reduce the smoke and soot while improve the burning. Maybe you know this already while someone looking at your photo doesn't 😀. The bike is pretty classy looking btw.

Hi all.
I've just taken delivery of this frame.
[Sincere thanks to Sinclair for the prompt delivery and for the info on the frame. 👍].
I'm about to embark on some de-greasing and cleaning just to see how the frame looks but sadly on initial impressions the original paint certainly doesn't look salvageable.
 
Any advice on the renovation, info on the Excel specifically or Orbit generally, and on Reynolds 753, gratefully received.
