Orange X2 Stratos Rear Shock Help

wjh

Retro Newbie
I've got an Orange X2 with a Stratos air-adjustable rear shock.

I've been trying to find some information on the max psi for the shock and the recommended pressure for my weight but it's proving to be a stuggle!

I've emailed Orange who said they "do not keep this kind of info on record" so can't help me...

Any current or former X2 owners have a manual for one or had any experience with them?

Here she is!

Stratos got sued & shafted by Specialized years ago and have vanished off the face of the earth, getting manuals & tech info these days is nigh on impossible. I tried for a pair of forks and gave up!
I do remember seeing Edinburgh Bicycle had a nos one in stock for sale on their website a while back, it was on ebay too
Couldnt tell you the i2i of it though
Good luck, happy hunting

I have an X1 with a Stratos and I recall bing told that you should put in as many psi as you weigh in lbs. i.e. you weigh 180lbs, then put in 180psi. Worked for me.

I have an X1 with a stratos shock and I was told this also. Seems to work for me.

To be honest though - put the pressure up into those sorts of areas and see how it feels. Too stiff? Let out some air. Too soft? Stick some more in. I would have though about 230psi was a max though.

I think I still have my old manual in my tool cabinet, and possibly setup/burping instructions on PDF on my old laptop. I will look when I get home from work.
