It was good to get out yesterday on my X1, and whilst the URT design divides MTB’ers this Marmite bike is still such fun to ride. The 15 mile undulating off-road route yesterday around Breckland kept me grinning like a Cheshire Cat. Like any bike once you get used to it’s quirks and predictability you can really enjoy the surroundings and let it soak up the terrain and obstacles. I still think it’s a great looking bike too, the chrome oozes a bit of class, along with the Carbon PACE forks, and the Orange branded components and a smattering of XT & LX parts. But then I am biased I guess. Anyway some pics from yesterday (note the Matchy Matchy Retro ROX God Rides Orange shirt)
