Retro Newbie
Hello,
I own an old Orange Prestige 93/94 which I want to repair. I need to repaint the frame but I need some help on what kind of stripping one should use corrosion treatment and paint. Also is one should use the decals above the varnish or under.
I would be most obliged if anyone can give me some tips.
Regards,
Miguel

Fixed the size for you so we can see it.

I can see reasons why you should give the frame a thorough clean, minor paint repairs and polish, but I can't see why you would want to repaint such a nice-looking bike.

If you must do so, the painter will shotblast the frame clean for you, so any work you did would be a waste of time and effort. Most replacement decals (i.e., if tough enough) can be applied either over or under the final paint finish. They might last a bit longer if you have a clear coat over them, but on the other hand you would have to damage the paint in order to get them off when they do need replacing.
