Orange Prestige 92/93 Period Correct (hopefully!)

So I recon we're now 98% there. I'm just waiting for a Syncros stem, but after what's seemed like weeks of snow I thought it was a nice day for a shake down ride.

It's been good fun trying to get it all 92/93. Bits have been sourced from on here as well as donor ebay bike with a cracked frame, from which came the XT drivechain, brakes and pedal. Coming to finish the package is the Syncros and some purple Chill Pills.

Which Syncros stem have you got ?
1992 Hole at front with noodle (easiest and neatest setup for these two)
1993 No noodle but with, light weight expander bolt, no power zit

looks great Dave, sterling work and looking forward to seeing the syncros stem on it- I hate ano so if you were asking for my opinion (which your not ) I would go black xt seatpost, other than that it is nigh on perfect. How did the old girl ride?

Syncros cattlehead is now on there. I recon it only 'needs' some RC35's and we're done...lol

pretty sure its not a '93. it has the wrong decals on it...i think anyway

give us the number from under the bb and i can tell you the date for sure. anyway this was my 93 prestige. she was imaculate and pretty much original, exept tyres stem and seat

If I remember correctly the frame number put's it in the factory August 92. So by the time it was all shipped from Taiwan and built up I figured late 92 early 93. But then with Orange who knows. I am pretty sure it's got the right stickers, bauause you can just about make out the original fading marks under these new stickers.

Just got some Purple Chil Pills NOS to add to it now.

certainly dont make like they used to, if they reissued an identical version i would consider a steel frame again.
