orange p7 bike build semi complete

heres my p7 which was built. Its fully working but im looking for parts to make it lighter and speedier, especially on the road. I know the tyres dont help. Any suggestions would be helpful

You could try some Michelin Wildgripper Sprints.

Tyre wise I use Schwalbe city jet in 1.95 but with amberwall to keep the retro look, one example here but look around for cheaper

Another vote for the City Jets. I have them on both my Sbike riders, and am very pleased with them.
For a proper Retro build on road tyres, they're the #2 choice. The #1 would be the old Tioga City Slickers, of which the Schwalbes are an exact replica (apart from the names on the sidewalls,of course).
