If you know your steel hardtails or classic bikes then you'll know this is a beauty. I can't emphasis enough what concourse condition the frame is in - there's a bit of rub to a couple of the decals and that's about it. As a bike it rides beautifully, tracks superbly and the steel frame with raked fork is compliant on the rough stuff. The frame was designed solely for V-brakes; it won't take discs.
I am rather gutted to be selling it but I need the cash for a holiday and this is the 6th bike in my collection. All the parts are good quality and are either new or as good as new, this has had just 10 mile use since being rebuilt.
1999 classic steel Orange P7 frame with V-brake dedicated orange F14 rigid fork 1.125-inch steerer - 17 inch frameset, standard spacing & 68mm BB. 2 x bottle braze ons with new red anodised “tastynutz”, crud catcher braze on also with red nuts. Frameset is Orange series 8 custom mico-buted cromolly with rack/gard eyelets.
Lustrous deep red colour with nice deep laquor.

The fitted parts are:
Headset: Original Acor aheadset 1.125 inch, new bearings and excellent internal condition.
Stem: choice of Original Acor ‘Arte’ polished alloy stem I think this is 10 degree and 110mm or the fitted System EX 25.4 1 1/8inch - 40º 130mm black alloy hi-rise.
Hope hed doctor, red anodised, brand new. Deduct £10 if you want standard silver top cap with red anodised bolt instead.
Seat post: you get both the Original Orange cromomolly seat pin 26.8 mm and shim (the 'N' in orange is still visible where it was lightly engraved down the pin) this has been polished up and is nice and shiny, and also a black alloy Orange Seatpost 29.8mm x 330cm with the orange logo (insertation scratch’s).
Seatclamp: Allen key fitting original unit
Saddle bontrager race lux, probably had 300 miles use, or I can put on a Brooks B17 narrow saddle in dark brown, hardly even broken in, for an extra £22.50
Handlebars ZOOM riser swept back bars 25.4, brand new, black alloy.
Bar ends Titec Carbon Bar Ends, lightly used, a couple of scuffs but no deep scratches, very light.
Grips: Ergon Ergo GP1 lock-on Grips, lightly used
Brakes: brand new set of Tektro black alloy v brakes, 4 black alloy callipers (with adjusting screws on side to adjust spring tension) & a pair of black alloy v brake levers. New cables & pads
Shifters: shimano LX 9 speed shifter pods, very light use new cables
Wheels: Brand-new Shimano Deore custom built wheelset. Deore Hubs M530 32h Black, Mavic XC717 Rims 32h Black 26inch, DT Swiss Spokes Champion Stainless PG Silver 2mm, straight true& tight.
Shod with Michelin - Country Rock Rigid MTB Tyre, 26x1.75 & specialised rim tape & Michelin Air Stop Butyl Tubes, Schrader valves. Whole wheelset has had 10 miles use only,
QR’s: brand new Hope CNC’d alloy QR’s red anodised. Deduct £20 if you want brand new deore QR’s instead
Crank & BB: Bontrager sport Chain set ring sizes 44/32/22 and Truative isis gigapipe BB of the kind that fits both 68mm & 73mm. Used, but recently stripped down & all in good condition with little wear & all teeth straight.
Chain: 9 Spd HG53 Chain (Sora/Tiagra 9/Deore) 10 miles use. With Gold SRAM 9spd Powerlink Connector
Front Mech: Shimano LX Front Derailleur Conventional T661 - 31.8 & 34.9 - 44/48 Triple compatible. Top swing. As new.
Rear Mech: XTR low (gear) normal, very light use, nice & shiny.
