Are they much heavier with springs and how many you use in each leg?

Weight is fine. I’ll get some numbers but a they’re not as heavy as they might look. I’ve got them with a single 90mm spring in each leg.

A year on I’ve made a few changes. This is now my main mountain bike having taken over duties from my 2007 Kona and waiting for more time to work out the XTR gremlins on my KHS Team replica. I swapped the bars (wide, riser) and stem (very short) and love the ride. I literally failed to stop after hitting 55kph offroad and into gate (fortunately had slowed enough for just some scuffed knuckles), so I’ve stolen the HS33s off the garage queen Proflex.
