my votes still keep the original paint - its classic !
Is te paint that bad it needs respraying ? or is it a case you want two different looking bikes ?

I do agree though, the orange/white is the symbol for the early 90's of all orange bikes
To be honest, the paint on the one ive stripped is in v.good condition. Boy o boy had it redone, just a few chain marks and a chip on the top tube.
It's just my OCD, if I'm rebuilding it I'd like to start from a fresh
The other one is covered in chips and is the original paintwork.
The reason I've stripped the one in better condition is its the older frame with the bottom pull front mech, the new mechs bottom pull. The other bikes a later version with the top pull

I wouldn't re-paint the one with original paint as once it's gone it'll never be original again. I'd build it up with the spares as a rider and focus the resto on the repainted bike.
I wouldn't polish an 'O', I'd just look out for an Elite and go to work on that as it'd be much easier. I'd probably go for either silver or black for the mint one with a slight bias towards silver as I always wanted a silver/grey clockwork bitd.

I like the silver, but ive had one and fancy another colour.

I'd keep GT-Steve's 'O' as the orange/white option as it's the original paint and decals and go with another colourway on #20 as I had this resprayed and it's not the original paintwork. (was matt silver)
Still got 3 of the 5 oranges I had!
The Stealth black is a 'keeper', as is my Neon green Five.
The Pace RC100 is 'unicorn' stuff and will definately be staying.
That leaves the 'elite'....currently under review in the boy"O"boy fleet, but need to get some better pics as she's definately a 'looker'!! :shock:
