Orange E3 replacement brake bosses/cantilever studs

Thomas Magnum

Retro Newbie
In my quest to completely strip down my frame I have managed to round off the rear brake bosses. Silly me didn't realise they were threadlocked in and probably should have just been left in place. Anyway it is done now and I am thinking it would be better to try and replace them when I put the bike back together rather than re-insert the rounded off old ones.

Does anyone know where I can get replacements?

I got some nice Ti Nitride ones from Ebay for my E3. They come from Taiwan, but the service was very fast and reasonable priced seeing as they traveled half way around the world.

There are 3 types of bosses, silver, black and gold (ti-nitride) Yours should be the same size as mine, M10's.

The links are;

There are others cheaper and you may want to take a shot at these. All you need to do is type in "v brake bosses" into Ebay search and you get about 70 options. As I said earlier, the guy in Taiwan was very good.
