Orange clockwork 1993 specHelp needed!

Hi, new to the forum picking up my first retro build frame this weekend. I've got a 93 clockwork frame coming. I wanted to restore and build to original spec, get the frame repainted etc. Does anyone have a list of the components and build for this year so i can start the hunt for parts.

Your guidance would be much appreciated!

I picked up a 93 Clockwork LX a couple months back.

Spec wise you could pick any Shimano groupsets or Suntour from midrange upto top level XTR & XC Pro etc. Wheel wise I think it was Mavics with a choice of silver or CD finish. Mine has Specialized GC & GC extreme tyres (original). Finishing kit was usually Orange branded bars/stem/saddle & post etc, though upgrades were available.

Hiya,
My Clockwork came with Magic 230tib rims which were very popular bits although the previous owner must have trashed the back wheel at some point as the rims don't match. Trying to find a replacement is like pulling hens teeth. Keep us posted with progress.

From memory, many buikes ran a 231 rear & 230 front. I'm not sure the lighter 230 was around in 93. Memory a bit hazy though.

Ahh yes I now u mention it, I do remember them being different front and rear. Think mine is a late 94 model.

All the 93's I've had/seen have had 231's. My old 1994/5 C16 had 230's.
