Orange 97, P7 & C16-R.

Lucky man. Very nice. I have exactly that C16R in the same size 19. Funnily enough, I think the C16R is a 1996 and the orange P7s were 1998, but I'm never sure of Orange dates.

I'd be very interested to know the respective weights of the two frames - I believe the P7 is supposed to be 50gr or so heavier, despite being made of a heat-treated tubeset, implying that it's by quite a bit the stronger of the two.

I will not be doing a retro build have some nice Magura odurs 85 for the P7.
I have been riding the C16-r and it goes like shit off a shovel!!

Oh yes - every home should have a P7 and C16R combo.

I think the C16 is a trifle lighter too, the P7 was marketed as a bomb-proof variant (although I've not managed to break my 16 yet, and I'm probably the wroing side of 16 stone, he says modestly )

I'm still getting to grips with sizing - have done decent miles on 19" C16 but at almost half a foot over six feet, am keen to compare with 21" P7 currently under construction OK - so the C16 is probably too small for me (cue gazz) but it really does feel good over rough ground.

The C16-R is nice & light. The major diff being the tube diameter, the
steerer tube is 1" compared to the P7 @ 1" 1/8.

Will probably get slated for this but I don't care ! New Magura's mm!!

Im a big P7 fan... I have 3...

Would love a c-16 but 21" never turn up...

Currently building up a 2007 clockwork, also in 21".

The P7 was supposed to be hardcore (bitd...) so thats probably why its heavier.

BTW what size are those two??
