Orange 1992 bike brochure.. collection

so that's really interesting. years ago i spoke to Orange legend Michael Bonney about the forks, when i got my first aluminium O it was maybe 2008ish, i got it as a frame only, and just built it with what i had lying around which meant a modern 1 1/8 ahead steel fork which was 420a-c, it rode fine but i was on the look out for the correct fork, which i eventually found, stupidly i didn't check the a-c and just sent the frame and fork off to paint, when i then rebuilt the bike with that correct fork it rode so badly that i pretty much never rode the bike. i asked MB about it and he said "yeah we got that one a little wrong", now from what i understand 390 was correct but the trail of the fork also comes in to it in conjunction with the head angle, i'd be interested to know if the 420a-c fork you have is from a later model because they obviously changed it. it's also good to know that 420 was an actual option on the bike.

thanks for the info
