At the risk of appearing deliberately obtuse, isn't that a cable sticking out of the hydraulic brake caliper...? :?

AMP disc brakes use a cable actuated hydraulic caliper, its saved weight on a full hydraulic system and also enabled you to use your choice of lever - there were very few (aka none) reliable full hydraulic systems in the early 90's.

Nice Bike, slightly off topic, would you mind taking a close up of that rear disc mount for me - Ta

Although the B4 is my least favourite iteration of the Amp design, i must say that's one minty and well put together B4! Love the blue and the lovely red accent bits splattered all around! ;)

They were using those as Police Bikes in San Antonio (Texas), and after they retired them from that they set up a program that allows city employees to check them out for errands.

I saw one the other day with a basket, a rack, and a kickstand (the standard setup)--didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

My AMP is still up for sale. The sale will include the original Syncros stem, not the Thomson.

I will not split up the bike either.

Thanks!
