My apologies for not posting per forum rules. Price is $800 OBO. Thanks.

Due to my employment status and an impending wedding this August I am trying to raise extra funds and have decided to put up my prized AMP Mercedes Edition.

I purchased this bike in the early spring and it was just about as new as you could get. Original everything in perfect condition. There was nearly no evidence that the bike was even rolled across a driveway. I took it home and began to hand polish the dull aluminum to a fine luster slapped on a new chain and began to consider project options. I decided to replace the new SDG perforated leather/kevlar seat with an older flite in order to preserve the stock seat. I swapped out the Syncros Hammer and Cycle stem for a Thomson to match the stock Thomson seat post. Swapped the seat collar for a red Salsa model, changed the bars to new carbon bars with a bit more width and sweep but I still have the stock Ritchey bars. I ditched the junk Ahead Set for a new Chris King and got some nice red anodized bottle bolts for the stainless King Cage I put on but have never even used. Swapped out the stock and nearly spotless Cheng Shins for some Kenda Small Block 8's. New cables and some Ouray's and the rest is totally stock. All MINT XT group with Red Bullseye pulleys in the rear. Stock Wellgo pedals also available.

I have all the original parts except for the headset which was given to a friend but who would ever replace a King headset anyway? As I said the bike is equipped with full XT in mint condition and is also equipped with AMP disc brakes with hydraulic calipers. Bike is an 8 speed. Also has stock cable housings in perfect condition.

This bike is a time machine and rides great. Suspension is responsive and makes for a great trail bike. This is the full suspension bike that started the revolution for full suspension in the industry. Full manuals and parts still available from AMP as well although they no longer make bikes.

I am open to serious offers only. I know well what this bike is worth and as you can see in the pics it is in excellent, near perfect condition. I will ship this bike nearly anywhere at the buyers expense. Should shipping be necessary it will be professionally packed by a local frame builder.

Feel free to email any questions or offers of interest to mzappe73@gmail.com

I will also check back to the site here for any messages but I prefer emails. Thanks for looking!

Sorry fella, but you have to put a firm price on this, or your add thread will be locked shortly by the moderators, best to read the rules first really!

At the risk of appearing deliberately obtuse, isn't that a cable sticking out of the hydraulic brake caliper...? :?

Lovely though

I think we should have a joint preservation fund for when beautiful time-capsule bikes pop up; start a little collection between all the members ;) Need to rent a good lock-up somewhere until we've amassed enough of them to open a museum (or at least a good bar/cafe)

Although personally I'd rather have a scruffy mongrel I don't have to worry about getting scraped (the missus says something similar too...)!

It's on the lump of metal that all the struts connect to on the forks.

I'm sorry, there's probably a technical name for it!
