Been used with cranks in the picture, but the pedal thread is cross threaded on the driveside crank.

DT Swiss RWS over size QR 9mm skewer. Works on a rachet system rather than the traditional lever/cam system. stiffens front end loads. £50 new from CRC
Can supply a specialized Stout hub, with oversize axle to used with this skewer, I have no idea on the condition of the hub though as i bought it as its being sold and only used the skewer.

I have no idea about the syringe at all....
