One for the Irish - Coppi in Ireland

I came across this on Cycling News website the other day. Something I had never known before - Fausto Coppi making a 'racing' trip to the Emerald Isle. Some of the story makes quite sad reading as it would appear that his riding powers were in decline and he was possibly a bit hard-pressed for cash.

Makes for an interesting read though - especialy the bit about 'arranging the results' beforehand.
