Went to the local bike swap and found this.

Should I buy it for $2000? I’m looking for the Retrobike forum to nudge me in the right direction.

Cook Bros Sushi Bars (super rare), XTR seatpost, XTR v-brake groupset, Mavic ceramic CrossMax wheelet, Ti cassette, RS Sid dual air fork….nowhere near catalog spec as the frame has a canti brake stop, but it is lovely with a handful of rare bits. I assume it’s worth about $3500 in parts.

You only have so long to enjoy things like this in good health. If you can afford to, buy it. The experiences and joy it will bring are priceless.

Buy it with your heart. Use it til you’re bored of it, then part it and sell it with your head. I don’t think it would be possible to lose money on it.

Those Cooks ti bars alone must be worth an absolute fortune to the right buyer.

Nice but was the seatpost stuck in the frame. Only saying cos if you look there is no bolt camping it into the frame it’s missing
