The best advert is my DOGS; XO grip shifters and X9 mechs, done HONC, two Mayhems and (last weekend) 65k at MADORC, plus a 50k day ride in Scotland in June and any number of 'normal' mtb rides, all without missing a beat.
I know any number of people can say the same for Shimano equipped bikes, but SRAM tends to attract a fair amount of adverse comment (worse in the roadie world) and I'm never quite sure why, as I've never had any trouble with any of my bikes beyond normal time to time type adjustments.
