A wee project using up some bits and pieces. For some reason Ive ended up with gold bits.

On-One inbred (18")
Manitou black fork (100/120mm)
Goldtec Sam rear on mavic 121 alpina/x-lite
Hope sport front on mavic 121 ceramic
Hope Gold QR skewers -100/135mm
Hope mono mini front- Post mount- 180mm hope saw rotor
Hope mono mini rear- Post mount -160mm hope saw rotor
Hope Gold master cylinder covers
Hope 1 1/8" Gold Headset
Hope Gold stem 70mm 0d OS
Hope Gold seat-clamp 30mm bolt
Hope Gold stem cap/bolt
No name post 27.2mm Gold
X9 3x9 shifters (set at 2 on the front)
X9 Cranks/rings 2x10
XO rear mech Long
XT F/mech
Sram 990 cassette
On-One Inbred logo'd saddle
Controltech straight bars 31.8mm OS
Outland Gold lock-on's
Aest Ti pedals Gold
Bonty Jones AC-X F&R 2.25" tyres

I suppose finishing would require a gold goldtec to match the rear along with a standard 121, or a gold XC/Bulb/Pro2, but i think if i could match the rear goldtech id be chuffed at that

A wee update, just to add some better pics.
Still much to do, a front 160mm saw rotor needed and possibly lose the gold cable outers in favour of shimano black. They're a bit creaky :?

Was your frame rusty out of the box as well?

Sorry bud, don't get you :? I'm terrible with jokes :)

Some versions of the inbred used to arrive from the factory "pre rusted". Rusty stains on the paint work.

Mine was one of them.

Ahh :)

A sad joke then  In fact a quick google and it looks like theres a number of reports. This one has a few areas touched in :?

Maybe get into the habit of an oily cloth wipe now and again

Re:

Black, gold, and blue. Looks ok to me. Like you say it's put together with parts you had left over, but you wouldn't know from looking at it :)
I wouldn't paint the forks.

A friend had an Inbred (or was it a 456?) That came in a natural (ie going rusty) finish. It's an acquired taste :?
