Yeah, usualy takes at least 3 years.. I painted this late last summer and built it up over the last couple of weeks. Super fast fir meBloody hell, that was quick… I didn’t even get time to dunk my digestive let alone finish my tea!
Currently 32 x 18Nice build, I bet you are pleased with the ride. Can I ask you what gearing you chose that was too high?
32x18 is a lower (easier) gear than 32x16. Did you mean the gearing was too low (spinning out to quickly)? Usually a single speed will be a 2:1 ratio at least, as you can always stand up and grimace your way up a hill, but when you're descending, there's nothing you can do other than freewheel once you spin out.Currently 32 x 18
going 32 X 16
yes, its too easy to pedal.32x18 is a lower (easier) gear than 32x16. Did you mean the gearing was too low (spinning out to quickly)? thanks. will be used mainly on flat land, canal tow paths etc.Nice rebuild, very neat. 2:1 is a good starting point on gearing although a lot depends on fitness (and above all local conditions).
