@Retrorockit we have pedal assist only here in the UK and only up to 15.5mph. It's not that unusual to get 50+mph winds here in North Wales (especially in spring/autumn/winter) and I'm just grateful for any help from the ebike.
I can't believe you're not constantly looking for thrills? I'm thrilled now!I would want an engine if I was in the market for thrills. R1, H2 or Hayabusa.
They are used on a different bike, that is not called an e-bike as we know it.I will be 70 in about a month. I give young fit guys a tow in some of the winds here. I'm a big fan of Florida Man stories. I know some guys who really could live up to that. But most of them are no longer with us.
There are several newspaper reporters who make their living since the collapse of that medium writing about what goes on behind the scenes here. Carl Hiassen, Tim Dorsey, and Dave Barry. They've all been NYT best sellers.
It's funny that you are so afraid of anything over 250W that you equate it with crashing. Elect some new leaders with some common sense.
The tires I run are EU rated for 50kph. So somebody over there has a a clue.
The guy I know who crashes the most is my brother on his pedal bike in NYC.
Just so, all of it.Well I'm older than @Retrorockit and live on W Coast of England.
Wide open at sea to Uncle Sam Land and pan flat for 25 miles inland. Can't remember last time wind was less than 10mph and it is usually 15mph gusting to 30mph. And that's in summer.
There are times when I struggle to get to 10 mph or out of bottom gear, especially in winter. Try that after 50 miles.
1,000 watts? Do me a favour. Get yourself fit and stop hiding behind an engine.
Fuggly things, both of them.
