Antonio Colombo is a very cool guy. Back in the day (late 80's thru 90's) we talked a lot at the Interbike & Eurobike party's. He really cared about cycling and dug all the small American companies n (like mine). Very different from Valentino Campagnolo who only cared about yachting.

You’ve spoiled my day with that information.
Probably psychologically damaged by having a crap derailleur named after him! (From Disraeli Gears) :

“It bore the name 'Valentino', a name shared by both Tullio Campagnolo’s father and son. The legend is that Tullio saw the Valentino range as a 'junior' range, suitable for younger riders, and named it after his 14 year old son. In 1964, when these derailleurs were still respectable designs and Valentino was a child, this seemed reasonable. By 1984 it had become an incomprehensible embarrassment.”
