old kona's, their really not very good are they

"Love will tear us apart" not ring any bells kev ?? A few of their other tracks are less well known, quite moody and dark sounding. All quality stuff but not quite as "upbeat" as the later New Order stuff (the more recent stuff particularly pop sounding), you must have heard of them though ??

I'm a Rocky guy and won't really defend Konas too much, but the Joy Division/New Order thing - them's fightin' words...

Here I am when I still had hair, in Durango, Colorado, in 1989, checking out a Kestrel from Mtn Bike Specialists. I am wearing my fave band(at the time)'s t-shirt.

I had a mate who used to keep falling off his Kona, i always thought it was because he was cr*p, then i rode one, certainly not my bag.

Same for Joy Division, but for the record (no pun intended) New Order are still one of my favorites. They just get better with age.

I quite like old konas.. once went on a kona test day at smithbrook kilns. still never managed to own a kona... was offered a 93 lavadome which i would have loved to have owned, but as it was a 15" frame i declined it...
if anyone has a nice 21" explosif they are giving away??

Its a little known fact that one Bernard Sumner (which isnt his real name incidentaly) is/was a bit of a mountain biker (I know cos I know him!!!)

I had a Kona once and although im not too sure why they have a big following it was a pretty cool bike!
