Some of those prices are reasonable but we have to pay import duty which puts them up a bit - quite a bit in fact. My last US import cost maybe £28 but the additional costs were £1 handling, £8 for something and £12 duty, those are very approximate but close. I have seen a packet where the item cost £2 and the total duty and costs were £12!!!!!
Thanks for looking, but it seems to prove my point about the unavailablity of hoods. I know the ax ones were dear - they were dear brakes when new but the biggest shock is the Weinmann ones - they were cheap - very cheap and i am sure there are numerous bike shops who have binned those hoods over the years.
