Right, bit the bullet, weighed up lots of pro's and con's of PC V's Mac and opted for the latter. *GULPS*... so.... I have lots of Outlook emails I need to transfer to the Mac, will this be easy or a nightmare? Any other things I need to be made aware of pre-transition?

You can trial Office 2008 Mac ed. for 30 days... import into Entourage, or run your Win Outlook on your Mac. Lots of ways to skin a cat.

:)

It has been the best technological decision I have ever made going for a iMac over a windows PC for home use.

I do not claim to be a whiz with IT and I have never had a problem.

Lovely bits of simple to use kit :)

Yes, I'll second all of the above...

I found a lot of the tutorials on Apples homepage quite useful as well...

Not a big Apple fan but after having lots of issues with Viruses on PCs I would consider one now as they are apparently far less prone to get infected with them.

you could run Windows under Virtualbox for any applications that are just windows based.

True you can. But then why buy a Mac? The software is the main reason. The looks should be second

Also buy ant-virus they can still get nasty things
