Thumbies Don't work and mash the gears.....

Gripshift is Great.......

I need the DeLorean to go back and try again, I must have got it wrong all these years.

They suit me fine.

Until you get to the surprise sharp climb on Bruntingthorpe.

I didn't hear exactly what was said, but it had something to do with ducking and bar stewards.

I like the idea of thumbies front rf rear.

Sachs Wavey was much better than any grip shit I had.

Im at a loss, unless the gears aren't set up properly or the kits worn out why anybody compare a thumbshifter to a Gripshift at all. (when comparing equivalent model years...Discounting Modern gripshift altogether of course)

Ease of use, proper shifting, no fuss, no hassle, no mishaps, that's my experience. Cool Kit.

I don't like thumbies, but i'd crawl a hundred miles across broken glass and dogshit to get some if the other option was gripshift...

To be Fair the best quality shifter for me has to be the Suntour, it has the index positivity exceeding the "click" of Campag, but the shifting is sublime when mated to a Shimano Hyperglide cassette.

After all these years and of course replacement worn out chains and cassettes, the Original thumbies are still perfect after 1000s of miles, the gear change has never missed a beat, and a long way from what it was using the original suntour freewheel of course.

Exceptional shifters in my experience, and a tad more positive in its "click" than shimano.
