Ok I just weighed the whole stable and I wish I hadn't...

For me its not about making the lightest bike possible-

Its about making the lightest bike possible with a STEEL frame! You got to work that bit harder-

BTW good work StevePSD- your 19lbs Bonty beats My S-Works at 20 :(
And I'm just about to put gears on it too :( :(

The way I look at it is if I don't spend my money on pointless crap my missis will spend that money on even more pointless crap like Sofa's and lampshades.

StevePSD should win some sort of award for this quote! QOTM easily.

weight.....why worry!

guysguysguysguysguys! Is it really worth worrying ourselves to death because our pride and joys ( 95 orange p7 in my case) are not as anorexic as we'd like to believe? Remember this..... It's not the size of the dog in the fight that matters.....It's the size of the fight in the dog! Think about it fellas.GAZ. :D

my build-up alloy[alloy EVERYTHING] weighed in at 14,3/4lb
My Clockwork build weighed in at 28lb

Dont weight my bikes either .

I think UCI limit is 6.8kg . most road bikes ( top of range off course ) , are easuly under that now . they have to add weight for TDF bikes .

As for those who suggest you should lose some weight? You clearly don't get it ;)

True, I think weight weening is almost as logical as old bikes(or white porcs), whatever floats your boat I say. And can anyone deny buying stuff that was a few grams lighter?
