Oil based enamel paint?

Been given an old "vintage" road frame in serious need of TLC. Thinking I might try hand painting this one; an uber-retro theme, I can already see the words "Joppa Flyer" emblazoned in rich cream, edged in gold leaf on a crimson background.

From my scant internet searching, oil based enamel paint is supposed to be best, but due to those pesky environmentalists it's not so popular any more.

Anyone any ideas of somewhere to source it in Edinburgh? Would a marine suppliers stock it?

Yep, that did occur to me... but do Humbrol do 750ml pots?

they do do "big" 50ml pots in a limited range of colours, normal ones are 14ml...

Do use the plasticote stuff - it is rubbish - came off my cranks after a few rides.
