Ofmega CX crank set bottom bracket compatibility?

Hi all.

I’ve got an Ofmega CX crankset that I want to put into action, it’s a beautiful thing but I’ve been hearing rumour that Ofmega cranks aren’t compatible with standard bottom bracket spindles… How accurate is this?

Obviously being a square taper it’ll fit on the bottom bracket but is it safe? Does anyone have any thoughts?
