Offroad rides - Essex

Hi,

Just getting back to MTB'ing after 20 years, and wondered if anyone could point me to some decent off road rides in the Colchester or Chelmsford areas of Essex.

I used to live in Surrey and had the Awesome North Downs close by.... but Essex seems to be all flat and paved in the bit i'm in!!!

if your in colchester there are quite a few places to ride but you need to know where they are

i lived here for 4 years before i got to grips with were the really nice bits are.

I'm still confused!!!!!!!

Should Essex be in the South East area group or the Anglian & Lincolnshire area group.... I've been on a few rides with them, but still feel Essex gets a little forgotten about!!
