Official recommended or not paint-shop thread.

There should be reasons next to the Dog House dwellers.
I'm really surprised that ETOE is in there, he's regarded as one of the paint Grand Masters???
Page 10 post #93 of this thread although it was back in 2013. Seems to be a long standing issue with Klein owners possibly, as on one of his Youtube videos from last year on a Klein Adroit restoration he was displaying a sign at 6.30mins in saying " No service for German douche bags! Same for the UK! ".

From memory it was less about the quality and more about the service. Didn't they repeatedly miss deadlines or something?

I've had several more frames, plus a lot of different components done at Yorvik Engineering this year.

Excellent work again. I'm very grateful that the best place I've found for powdercoating is not too far away and are also so friendly and helpful.

Over the years I’ve used;

Central Wheel Components, Coleshill, Birmingham
For powder coating and cerakote finishes.
I’ve attached an example of the Cerakote finish. It’s much thinner than powder coat, they can blend it, and apparently just as durable. Example is the Marin.
I tend to bung up any threads for them. The chap I normally speak to is in to his bikes to so they’ve always been taken care of. Only had one issue when a new guy rushed a frame and missed bits but they redid the frame FOC.

Bristol Bicycle Restorations, Bristol
I had my Rockhopper Comp sprayed there. He had the frame sandblasted first and laid down the paint on to a clean frame. I’m really happy with the glossy finish!

Any recommendations for bike-friendly powdercoaters in E/ SE London/Kent please? There’s no-one local on p1.

Speaking of p1, @brocklanders023 I can point out that Colourtech, you rightly have amongst the dogs, is now in Dartford rather than Catford. He painted a frame for me, took 9 months (!), is rarely contactable, gave me all sorts of pony about why it was delayed. He eventually did a decent job except he’d painted someone else’s fork and tried to pass it off as mine. It was a different shape and didn’t even fit the head tube. Needless to say, he never found mine, gave no refund and I never heard again. He couldn’t give a monkeys.
