It's one of the items I'm not worried about being modern, the bike is a rider and hardly 100% period correct anyway!
You're correct, it does it in all rings at the front and didn't slip before I put the chain on, so I think it must be the combo of worn cassette/new chain.
Right, time to go shopping I guess!
Can anyone recommend a cassette which is kind of "XT" level, i.e. a fair compromise on weight/cost?
