Oakley Frogskins (or just lenses)

Looking for a replacement set of Frogskin lenses for my old set from the 90s. It turns out the reissued versions from the last few years use a bigger lens that won't fit the old frames.

Anyone have any old lenses in decent condition? I'll consider complete pairs with frames too.

Cheers

Re:

Have you tried some of the companies that offer after market lenses? I've bought a few in the past from different places, I forget the names of some, but galaxy lenses spring to mind?

I'll ask my Dad as he may still have his pair kicking about. Crystal black frame with Fire or Positive Red Iridium lenses.

Yes it might be worth trying the aftermarket lenses - I'd assumed they'd all be made to fit the modern reissues now and based on my experience with this set I'd assumed those have slightly larger lenses. I did have a browse of the Oakley forums and didn't turn up much information other than the gen 2 lenses (like mine) will fit the reissues, but not vice versa, which certainly matches my experience. Might as well make use of ebay's generous returns policy to give one or two different brands a try though. Anyone have any advice about which aftermarket lenses are the better ones? I've used some in other pairs the past with varied success (I think Exovista and Walleva were the better ones I'd used) though I don't think Exovista are around any more.

And AlexTemper - cheers, I'd be interested. The frustrating thing is I know that I have this exact model somewhere in my house/loft/etc but can't for the life of me find them any more!

Cheers

Been there. I lost a few pairs of Oakleys for 8 years after the last house move until they turned up in a moving box hidden at the back of a storage cupboard.

A bit of work on the aftermarket lenses - so far Galaxy lenses have suggested that their Frogskin lenses won't fit the old models. Revant lenses have a nice looking purple lens but say they've only tested theirs with the reissue models but have offered a full refund if they don't fit the old ones, though I'd have to send them back to the US.

Re:

Revant look good, I think I bought some once and was happy with them. Walleva were not a good fit, so much so they sent me some other coloured lenses to try in case there was an issue with the batch I had. The second set fitted better but were much thinner that the original Oakley's.

Just fitted some galaxy ones to a set of pit bulls and they are perfect.

Probably not much help.
