NWA regional ride: Marple and Lyme Park

:: Date: Saturday 19th January 2013
:: Distance/time: 12 -15 miles depending on actual route - about 5 hours of riding, talking, eating etc.
:: Meeting at: Rose Hill Station, Marple. Google map here: --> http://goo.gl/maps/hd9se
:: Time: 10am for 10:30am start.
:: Terrain: A ride which takes in the Lyme Park and Mellor Moor. Well drained tracks and trails mean that this ride is still good in winter.
There will be a cafe or pub stop somewhere along the way.

All welcome. Hope to see a few people there or thereabouts.

Well there is the cafe in Lyme Park, then we get to the Fox Inn, and perhaps the cafe at Roman Lakes. We may pass a few other pubs too.

We just have to make sure we are back in time to get to the Cycle Jumble at the Velodrome on Sunday.

Depends on those pub stops I reckon - could get quite tricky!

Reckon I might ride to the station, leave the car at home and make a full day of it... unless anyone wants to buy my wheel of course...? :roll:

I'll probably ride to the start location along the Middlewood way.
It's 11 miles from Macclesfield, which I guess means 11 miles back again at the end of the ride.

Need to get the miles in my legs though.
