Dura-Ace 7 speed Uniglide cassette (CS-7400-7), 13-14-15-17-19-21-23.

From the late 80s. Almost unused --- I bought it when I had some 105 UG hubs, not realising that the locking sprocket has a different thread to the rest of the UG cassettes (to allow a 12T sprocket). The 14-23 sprockets have been used once for a downhill MTB race by my son in an effort to look "pro", before he realised that it was terminally uncool to use his dad's vintage kit! So yes, these sprockets work on hyperglide freewheel bodies just fine. If I'd had more sense, I could have used the magic BNIB, but at least I still have the box.

£25 posted.

Re: Dura-Ace 7 speed Uniglide cassette

Hi, if I show you a PIC of my freehub could you adviuse me if this cassette would fit?

Thanks. Shaun

Re:

Sadly, this is not the cassette you are looking for. The splines are the same, so all the splined sprockets will fit, but the Dura-Ace has a smaller diameter thread on the locking sprocket. All the cassettes from the rest of the range will fit your hubs (600, 105, Exage, ...)

Has your freewheel body got an internal thread as well as an external thread? If so, you should be able to fit a hyperglide cassette. They're much easier to find than uniglide.
Edit: I think you have these --- http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx? ... AbsPos=243, in which case you can use any hyperglide cassette.

Funnily enough, my wheels were 105 UG on MA40s when I bought this cassette and found it didn't fit -- slightly earlier version, though, with red labels. They were truly lovely wheels.

Re: Dura-Ace 7 speed Uniglide cassette

Hi Nick

Thanks for taking the time to reply, much appreciated :) Yep, the Velobase reference is the hub set I have. A strange matt finish, no oil hole and a bronze effect to the freehub. Shame your's wont fit as it's about the range I am looking for so it doesn't look out of place on an 80's bike and my 30 yrear old rear mech 's can cope.

Thanks also to MrW, the range is a bit wide for me.........might have a look on the Rose website again :)

This isn't getting your casette sold so BTTT

Cheers
