There have been several models with the "oval" frame. Terraliner Oval, Globe traveller, Traveller, Randonneur. They made them until a few years ago. They are beautiful frames but are usually from about 450 for an older model to 1500 for a nice unused recent one.

Sorry @dree I didn't mean to say your particular bicycle is expensive, more a general observation.

No worries. I agree with you.

This one had a new nitto bar, stem, cambium c17, bar tape and has a complete overhaul.
Don't forget the tubus racks instead of flexible alloy SL racks and a my tlc

I think my new to me Roberts Roughstuff now qualifies as a porteur as has just aquired front and rear Tonard racks, the front one being a modified smaller rear, fun fact the racks were made about half a mile from where the bike was made in Croydon.

I think Tonard brazing made all manner of stuff not just bike parts. They made very elegant racks though.
