Forgive my ignorance re all things cantilever brakes (assuming they're cantilever) how do these work? It seems counterintuitive to me, in that pulling on the lever seems to brake one side but not the other.

As the cable shortens one side, the rocker arm is pulled over engaging the other side.

Back in the 90s you could buy a cantilever brake booster which did the same.

I switched from V brakes to Frog's Legs canti's on my Moulton Space Frame using brake bridge type hangers and lost a lot of brake power, might have to give these ago
