Agreed. But please forgive my ignorance - why is 650b often preferred for tourers - lower centre of gravity, tyre size? Or what?

I always assumed slightly smaller wheel with big fat tyres means comfort. I could be talking out of my butt though.

650b conversions are for comfort and ride quality. I believe a fat 650b tyre is more agile than a fat 700c. Only half an answer. I fear.
