It may be functional after a fashion. They are terrible, only fit for the bin imo. Huret Eco is horrible yet far superior. All Shimano stuff just works even the pond scum groups. Edit, I guess the main point being the bike needs a nicer mech

Back in the Hinault - LeMond years, such a great rising star. You can't help but think what kind of apprenticeship he had, along with next generation hopefuls like Jean-Francois Bernard. Was such an incredible time and lucky to witness it.
