Guessing they made it 'Tubby' looking to balance out the plastic fork an stupid tapered headset (bicycles did fine with straight headtubes for over 100 years TYVM.). If it had a nice straight blade steel fork straight headtube and was in Emerald green metallic it would be perfect.

I don't mind the colour. Green is my favourite colour, so I'm with you there. The tapered headset matches the bike but is as you say unnecessary. A straight blade and smooth steel fork would also be my choice.
