Didn't see 'retro-modded velo sportif look-a-like' in the title, but I thought I'd give this a whirl here anyway.

Just finished. Pics from yesterday's and today's shakedown rides. Japanese frame with a mix of parts from England, Germany, Italy, Holland, China, Japan and - yes - even France:

What did you use for the shifter bosses?

The frame originally came with the infamous Shimano "B" type bosses. I modified those with a file and a tap so they'd take standard shifters.

Or cable stops, such as the Shimano examples that are on there now:
