I've seen this one.not really sure if this is the right place to post this here; anyway better here then I would post it at "Vintage French rando's and porteurs"
Its funny to me that when that frame came out it was such a radical idea and now it seems a little under tired.Love that. The Soma Pescadero. Road bike with room for 40mm tyres
Its still a bit leftfield because of the rim brakes, I think. They changed the geometry somewhat more toward a "gravel" ride. Its funny to me that when that frame came out it was such a radical idea and now it seems a little under tired.
Did they? Originally I thought it was their ES frame but with fatter tires. I think the Fog Cutter is basically the same frame, but with discs. Its still a bit leftfield because of the rim brakes, I think. They changed the geometry somewhat more toward a "gravel" ride.
They slackened the head tube angle and gave more rake to the fork. I really respect the fact that they made a non disc version. They could have just brought the Fog cutter and leave it there.Did they? Originally I thought it was their ES frame but with fatter tires. The Austro Daimlers are lovely bikes. Rare here in the UK, I have only seen two in the metal.Austro-Daimler Inter-10.
Made by Puch in Austria for the American market and to American specifications. More of a sports tourer than a pure racing bike. With a triple and fenders it makes for a nice light touring machine.
