Has anyone ever set their crank arms at 90 degrees like this and gone for a ride? Funnily enough it doesn't feel normal!

I haven't as it happens... I have though, BITD, wired a freewheel to the spokes (using old spokes) to create a "redneck fixie" & when the NDS crank worked loose I removed it and rode back clipped in on just the drive side. Was even able to stand up and climb mild hills that way...
