nos

It should literally mean "new old stock" as in "left in a shop/with manufacturers" and unearthed totally unused never sold or fitted, it isn't always mint as there could be storage marks, but there is definitely no such thing as near, virtual, almost or any word like that nos, either it's new, or it isn't, it's a bit like being dead or alive.
 
ive got loads of nos bike bits, they were new once maby before i used them maby nos should be n/o/s new, old, s##te
