NOS Yeti Ultimate incl. Accu-trax and A-TAC...

That has been listed before I think - last time it was when FTW had his Ultimate FS on ebay.

I know which one I'd rather have!

Pardon my ignorance here. :? I have 3 questions (I guess I could email seller, but I figured I'd get more information by posting here on RB).

Top half of seat tube looks to be larger diameter tubing than the bottom half. Anyone know if that's what he means by "reinforced seat juncture"?

Also, isn't the "small gusset on the chain stay (upper drive side)" normal on all Ultimates?

Seller also states that "drop outs are machined on the inside". I see an area on the right drop-out where it looks like a router was used to remove some metal. Is this typical? Anyone seen this before?

OK, I guess that's 4 questions.

Thanks in advance for educating me.

1. reinforced seat juncture due to smal frame size. A large seat post pulls a lot of momentum and can split the tubeing.

2. Yes,the insert is on both the Ultimate and all FROs (except the first real old models)

3. machined drop-outs was used on most factory racing frames, some production frames and I think one of the C-26 frames.

I just checked google images, and I now see that some of the small frames have that larger diameter reinforcement, but not all of them. Didn't see that feature on any of the larger frames.

Perhaps the small frames that don't have it are also some of the earlier models?

Thanks again.

I've seen/owned Yeti repairs that had the set tube like that. Never seen the machined out dropouts on an Ultimate.
